Below we have a list of several of the ministries that we offer here at First Pres. We want you to feel as comfortable as possible when joining one of our ministry programs. We believe that engaging in fellowship is a very important tool when growing to be more like Jesus. The encouragment of others is a powerful thing.
We are all on a journey of growth and formation. First Pres provides many opportunities to grow in a Christian faith and knowledge. A good first step is to get involved in a Sunday School Class or a Small Group Study.
Come and hang out at Youth Group! We have a ton of cool stuff going on like retreats, trips to a trampolene park, basketball tournaments, fun games, powerful lessons, and much more!
Mission and Service
Jesus showed us how to love and extend that love through service of others. Being a part of First Pres means we are all ministers caring for people inside and outside of our walls.
We are committed to the love and care of fellow members of the First Pres family. This is most visible through our visitation team, congregational care team, bareavement team, and Stephen Ministry. Stephen Ministry is a group of trained lay caregivers who journey with people who desire a campanion along their journey.
Kids are welcome to join in! We get to learn about the life of Jesus and the Bible while often digging into some games and arts and crafts. We want this experience to be as fun as possible for your children, in a safe environment. Two popular programs are:
Women's Ministry is a group of ladies who meet together and have open discussion about Jesus and the Word. We would love it if you would come and visit with us.
When we sing, we pray twice. Even if you feel like you have no musical talent, God hears your joyful notes. We have opportunities for children, youth and adults through choirs and bells.
We have an active group of seniors who gather for a monthly lunch and program. They spend time together in regular trips and social events.
Our men get together to learn through weekday Bible Studies, serve during workdays, and fellowship at regular "Mantreats".
