Children's Ministry

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them,

for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14

First Pres loves children! We love tiny feet shuffling happily and little hands reaching out curiously. We adore sweet voices asking questions and giggling uncontrollably. Join us as we joyfully minister to our children, reaping glorious benefits from them in the process.

The Christian Education Vision for our church family is to accomplish these three basic steps:

  • Reaching UP - Seeking and serving God in all we do

  • Reaching Around - Showing love while faithfully nurturing and engaging those around us

  • Reaching Out - Extending sincere interest, compassion, and service to others

More Information and Resources

We seek to accomplish this vision through:

  • Relationship: Our FPC family seeks to exemplify God’s love. We strive to develop and maintain genuine relationships, so that we can successfully establish and nurture compassionate and devoted connection among our church family. We strive to better equip ourselves to live and love faithfully. We want to continually grow and engage in our faith journey. FPC seeks to foster an atmosphere of intergenerational connection where we love no matter what, accept that we all have faults, respect differences, encourage and support each other, build each other up, guide and teach one another, and speak truth in love.

  • Responsibility: FPC seeks to discern God's will for program facets by mindful of having a safe place
to gather; seeking wise counsel and prayerful discernment in curriculum and program offerings; faithful accountability in finances and in stewardship of time, talents and resources; teamwork with all components of our church to provide united fellowship, encouragement and support; outreach via grass roots efforts and word of mouth witnessing that is faithful and purposeful in extending the reach of God's arms; and through volunteers on whom we rely and for whom we are so grateful.
